Like many foundations, the Laird Norton Family Foundation has suffered a significant decline in investment assets.  Our investment portfolio is now about 30% smaller than it was 18 months ago.  In order to preserve available grant dollars for next year and beyond, our Board of Directors recently took some difficult decisions and made significant changes to our cost structure.  Notwithstanding these changes, the Foundation has much reason for optimism.  Our program areas are developing rapidly and supporting outstanding organizations.  Family interest and involvement is high and we believe our overall approach will serve us well into the future.  We invite you to contact us if you have any questions.

The mission of the Laird Norton Family Foundation is to fund programs that honor, support, and reflect the philanthropic values of the Laird Norton family.  We do this through a number of fund advisory committees, each focused on a specific area of interest.
