The Foundation generally provides program or operating support. The foundation does not make multi-year commitments; however, we seek to develop strong partnerships with our grantees and will consider awarding multiple or successive grants to an organization. 

The Foundation makes grants to organizations located within the United States qualified under Internal Revenue Code Section 501(c)(3) and classified as public charities (not private foundations) under Section 509(a). No grants are made to religious institutions for religious purposes. We generally do not fund publications, documentary films, television productions and the like. Global Fundamentals grants to U.S. 501(c)(3) organizations support international programs.

In 2011, the Foundation made grants totaling $1,238,000. Please see our Program Area pages for information on recent grants.

While we are not currently accepting unsolicited applications for grants, we are interested in learning more about nonprofit organizations working in the areas we support. If you believe your organization may be a good fit with our funding priorities, please submit an inquiry form.
